Amanda's Basic Smoothie

If you're anything like me, and are busy juggling family life with careers and other demands. A smoothie is a good option for hectic days and kids love them too!

Here's how to make Amanda's deliciously simple smoothie!

4oz fresh mixed berries (or you can buy frozen mixed berries) OR 4oz chopped mandarin/orange segments

PLUS

½ banana OR 1 small pear or other seasonal soft fruit

PLUS

1 dessertspoon flax oil to boost fat metabolism

PLUS

1 tablespoon of wheatgerm to boost your stress-busting B vitamins

PLUS

1 cup of any non-dairy milk (unsweetened)

PLUS

1 scoop of pure whey protein or 2oz of silken tofu

 

Blend and serve.

Try to vary the ingredients each time to keep variety.

To make this smoothie more creamy add a large tablespoon of natural yoghurt
