Amanda, a qualified and experienced nutritionist, offers one-to-one nutrition consultations with people looking to address specific health concerns with a nutritional approach. Amanda's clinics address specific issues such as bloating, IBS, PMS eczema or enhanced fertility, or more generally how to eat healthily to help maximum health and zest.
What does the clinic address?
Weight loss and management: using effective and proven ways to reduce weight and keep it off.
Skin problems: and specifically psoriasis, acne, and eczema.
Hormonal imbalances: including PMS, infertility, menopause and lowered libido.
Digestive complaints: such as IBS, indigestion, constipation or flatulence.
Cardiovascular problems: such as angina and high cholesterol.
Nervous system problems: including MS and Parkinson's disease.
Psychological problems: such as depression, anxiety and insomnia.
Eating disorders: such as obesity, anorexia and bulimia.
Allergies and intolerances: including allergies such as hay fever.
Sport nutrition: maximizing performance and training by managing your diet,

HOW CLINICS WORK
Pre-consultation
Before your consultation, you are sent a pre-screening questionnaire and food diary to complete so that we can see your all aspects of your medical, lifestyle and diet. This has to be completed and returned before your consultation!
Consultation
Amanda will discuss with you your diet, relevant lifestyle approaches and how changes in nutrition can specifically be addressed to help approach any issues can be helped to improve your health.
Amanda will then develop an action plan that you are asked to follow. This may include further bio-chemical tests to enable us to develop this plan (these aren't included in the cost of the clinic). If you have further tests, then we will await the results of these before arranging a follow-up consultation to discuss the effects of these (this consultation can often be done over the phone).
Usually you will then have a follow-up clinic approximately one month following the initial consultation or tests, and a three-month check following that.
Your action plan often includes vitamin or mineral supplements (the cost of which is additional to the clinic).
Post-Consultation
Usually we will discuss during the appointment how many times we anticipate having to see you as a result of either the consultation, or the bio-chemical tests. We try to limit these consultations to be the least necessary, but sometimes the recommended course is quite extensive. We usually find that three consultations are sufficient to address any issues through a nutritional programme.
Bio-chemical tests
We use well-established tests from the likes of York Test Laboratories to help establish the underlying reasons for your health issues. The issues underpinning your health problems can often be established scientifically by taking a simple and usually non-invasive test. We do not suggest any tests prior to an initial consultation.
